Construction has been part of our family for three generations. Durwin’s father spent his life in the trade and owned his own company. Durwin followed that path into the Navy, serving with the Seabees.

After the Navy, Durwin started Cutting Edge in 1995. He worked on his own, building the business around cabinetry, finish carpentry and close attention to the details that make a home feel complete.

When Chance and Brent joined their dad, they helped the company take on larger projects. They brought new ideas and a shared goal: grow the business while keeping the care and quality their dad expects.

Chance came back from the University of Alabama to work with his dad. He wanted to help more homeowners bring their ideas to life, build good relationships and carry the family’s careful approach into bigger projects.

Together, Chance and Brent made the business more organized, with detailed estimates, clear expectations and better communication. What stayed the same was the care that goes into the work and its smallest details.

Today, our goal is simple: put your best interests first. We’ll listen to what you want, speak honestly about the work and find practical solutions when problems come up, so you feel supported throughout your remodel.
